So how many should there be?

Appendix A- SWOT
Appendix B- Pest
Appendix c- another strategy (Ansoff/Mendelow)?
Appendic D- Calculations
appendix E- More calculations?

should there be more appendices? Or will it depend on the unseen?

I feel Porter's five forces would be very essential as well.

I do not recommend you to do a 5 forces analysis under Appendices! It's time consuming, but you can use it for your discussion! Normally you will have 7 Appendices.
1- SWOT
2- Mendelow
3- Ansoff/or any other model
4- Calc 1
5- Calc 2
6- Calc 3
7- Answer for Part (b) question, email/slides/ memo/letter

Do it in the small booklet!
Number of Appendices depend on the unseen. Normally examiner provides a PEST analysis, my argument is that it is time consuming, but you can write about it in your discussion mentioning theory where necessary.

I agree with Porter's 5force nt relevant since BZCS has alredy operating in dispersed geographical location ( even though shares r quite low other than Europe & USA), so finding another place for their operation specially in recession period is quite out of they mind atleast for pressen,, & main concern wld be cost effective operation & winning new bidds from current markets,,

I wonder what abt a Change management strategy in Appendix,, as new restructuring has been done effective frm 1st jan 2011 & also 1800 job lost any possible inside union strike on this restructuring process??

A good point!Do it if you feel that it is vital for your answer, means if th unseen has an issue with for a change, then this will be ideal! Other wise it won't get any mark!
